Soccer is one sports dear to my heart,

Soccer is one sports dear to my heart, even though I would not be able to tell you every single fact about it. Yet, I know is that Asamoah Gyan is the best player and captain of the best soccer team, the Black Stars. This Ghanaian star was born on 22 November 1985 in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. At age of 17 in 2003, he started his international debut. Gyan was part of the 2004 Ghana Olympic Squad, they existed in the first round and finished in third place in Group B. He was the youngest player ever to score for Ghana and this helped Ghana win the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifier game. Asamoah Gyan football career started in 2003 with Ghanaian Premier League club Liberty Professionals. He was the all-time leading goal scorer of Ghana Nation team (Black Stars), with 51 goals. Gyan is really known for scoring goals at his matches and usually score at the beginning of the games or at the end. Besides 2006, he also took Ghana to the 2010 and the 2014 FIFA World Cups. As Gyan raises to the top, with only 6 goals he took the top African goalscorer in the history of World Cup. Also, he represented Ghana in seven African Cup of Nations in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2017, helping them finish in third-place in 2008 and runner-up in 2010 and 2015.While Asamoah Gyan helped Ghana, he also played for other teams as well. In 2003, he signed with Udinese which is in Italy. On July 4, 2008, Gyan was signed by Ligue 1, club Stade Rennais in Rennes for 4 years on a €8 million transfer fee. He played three games for them and left the team. Sunderland Club signed Asamoah on August 31, 2010, for Premier League. It was a four-year deal worth £13 million. It was heard Gyan was leaving the Sunderland team and on September 10, 2011, Sunderland website confirmed Gyan would leave the club to AL Ain FC. Al Ain signed Gyan for a five-year contract that was worth over £6 million per season on July 6, 2012.Once again it was heard that Asamoah was leaving Al Ain, he announced on July 24, 2014, that he has extended his contract with Al Ain. Finally, Gyan confirmed on July 7, 2015, that a Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG offer him a contract worth a weekly salary of £227,000. After the announcement of his salary from the Chinese club, Gyan became one of the world’s best-paid football players. Throughout this experience Gyan helped each team with his goal scores, but as we know everyone makes a mistake once or twice. In the 2012 African Cup of Nations semi-final, Gyan missed a crucial penalty kick and this was a devastating moment in Ghana soccer history. When Ghana lost the game 1-0, as a result, Asamoah Gyan took an “indefinite break” from his international football career. I would have probably done the same thing because every lost hope in him and some even threaten him and his family all due to the fact that he missed a penalty kick.As much as Gyan wished the penalty early 2012 had not happened in history, he announced on May 8, 2012, to return back to Black Stars. People were still upset about the penalty kick, but he was still respected as a great player and captain. To keep himself busy from the anger of people, in June 2012, he turned his attention towards boxing promotion and announced he would put on a debut boxing show in Ghana. His intention was to help upcoming young boxers in Ghana have hope and the opportunity to make their dreams comes true. Speaking of dreams, October 2017, Asamoah has been granted an Air Carrier License (ACL) by the Ghanaian Civil Aviation Authority(GCAA). With this license in hand, the start-up Baby Jet Airlines is now permitted to begin with it’s AOC certification drive. As a soccer player with such talents and hard work, Asamoah Gyan has made a very successful life for himself.
